Archer Funeral Home Records White County Illinois 1918 - 1935
The funeral records, listed herein are, we believe mostly from the Archer Funeral Home, though some may be from other funeral homes, since the books themselves gave no indication of the sourse.
If you are searching for an elusive "mother's maiden name," this book is a real treasure, as most records list that information. Most records also list the birthplace of both parents, and the death place, dates of both, funeral site and date, burial site and date, occupation, cause of death -most are included in these listings, if known and reported.
Deceased are listed alphabetically and the index list only subsidiary names, such as parents, spouses, maiden names, survivors, and often pallbears, flower bears, and amy other namesmentioned, including the per who ordered the service and the person charged, if listed.

White County, Illinois Death Register Book 2: 1902-1912
Including Cause of Death List
Transcribed by Janice Melton Knotter
Introduction:
Although most of the death certificates were submitted by doctors, it is probable that they often did not arrive until after the death occured, and may have based their diagnosis on what the family reported. Also, some doctors were a bit remiss in submission of the death certificates, and often submitted them months after death. Some doctors were not adept at spelling, and it was difficult to decipher their writing; it is also posssible that the clerk made errors while transferring the information from the certificate to the registration book, so we suggest you check throughly for name variations. The listings in this book are in the same order as the registration book.
